Artist creates Modi’s micro-sculpture in the eye of a Needle

People all around the country are conveying the birthday wishes to Narendra Modi in various mediums. Narendra Modi – Prime Minister of India is celebrating his 69th birthday, and his fans are planning possible ways to wish him.

Mattewada Ajay Kumar, a popular micro artist from Warangal city, has done a fantastic micro sculpture of the Prime Minister. The miniature is created in the eye of a needle with 0.69 mm size signifying the Minister’s 69th birthday. Mattewada used self-made wax for creating the sculpture. It measures 0.92 mm in height and 0.28 in width. He shares that “It took me 14 hours spread over six working days to create the sculpture.”

Ajay Kumar was notified much for his previous sculptures as well. He prepared a micro sculpture of Dandi March “National Salt Satyagraha” on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, October 2nd, 2018. Even this work was done in the eye of the needle. The work was showcased at NSSM or the National Salt Satyagraha Memorial at Dandi in Gujarat. And, the sculpture was dedicated to the nation by Narendra Modi on January 30 of this year.

Ajay has even made carved several portraits before. A few of those include of our former Prime Ministers P V Narsimha Rao and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. For his significant contribution, he has received appreciation from P V Narsimha and a letter of appreciation from Vajpayee before. Ajay Kumar is famous for his micro sculptures. From past 30 years experienced, he proved the best and created his name in World record and entered into the Limca Book of Records five times for his works.
