Common entrance test for PG courses in all TS universities

For the first time, a State-level Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET-2019) will be conducted tentatively from June 14 for admission into 60 Post Graduate (PG) courses offered by seven universities in the State for the 2019-20 academic year.

Notification for the CPGET-2019 has been issued. The entrance tests will be conducted for admission into PG courses into the campus and affiliated colleges of Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad, Satavahana University, Palamuru University, Telangana University, and Mahatma Gandhi University.

The 60 PG courses offered by the seven universities include regular PG courses, PG Diploma courses and five-year integrated programmes in Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education and others. The entrance examinations would be in the computer based online test (CBT) mode

Common Syllabus in website

Giving the details of CPGET, Chairman of Telangana State Council for High Education T. Papi Reddy and Vice Chancellor of Osmania University S. Ramachandram, who is also the Chairman of CPGET, stated that students interested in pursuing PG courses in the seven universities could apply online for appearing for the entrance tests by logging into the website http://tspget.com

The students could also look for instructions regarding the CPGET and syllabus for the entrance tests would be made available on websites www.osmania.ac.in or www.ouadmissions.com and they could also download the hall-tickets from the three websites at least a week before the commencement of tests.

Last date

They stated that the last date for submission of online applications without late fee would be May 30 and it would be June 8 with a late fee of ₹500 and June 11 with a late fee of ₹2,000. The registration fee for one subject is ₹800 for open category and backward classes students and ₹600 for SC, ST and physically challenged candidates. The fee for each additional subject is ₹400 for all categories.

The entrance tests would be conducted in about 25 centres across the State to fill nearly 30,000 seats in campus and affiliated colleges.
