The last date for submission of online applications for Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (DEECET) 2019 has been extended up to April 15. The DEECET will be conducted through computer based test mode on May 22.
Candidates should have secured 50 per cent marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination to appear for DEECET. The minimum marks in the qualifying examination in case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and physical challenged is 45 per cent. The candidates who have passed intermediate examination with vocational course (s) are not eligible to apply. The applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on September of the year of admission.
The successful candidates in the DEECET will be given admissions into Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd) and Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE). The DEIEd is offered in three medium i.e. Telugu, English and Urdu. Candidates opting for any particular medium should exercise their option in online applications for appearing for DEECET in that particular medium only.
The DPSE is offered in English medium only and candidates appearing for DEECET in English medium will only have option to seek admission in DPSE and DEIEd.
