Girls from Army Public School win the Finals of Aqua Regia

Triumphant Institute of Management Education Pvt. Ltd, popularly known as TIME conducted the 13th edition of “Aqua Regia – The Science Quiz” for school students across the country. TIME is India’s leading test-prep institution helping many students to improve their skills.

Aqua Regia –The Science Quiz was certified by the Guinness World Records (TM) in 2007 for being the largest quiz ever. The national finale of Aqua Regia-2019 was held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Basheerbagh.

Drishya Sudeep and Navya Singh from the all-girls team of Army Public School, Bolarum emerged as the winners of the 2019 edition. They have beaten the teams Kirhen Bhagavat and Nihal Amin from Bharathi Matriculation School, Coimbatore. Rajdeep Das and Sourish Das of Delhi Public School, Kolkata have secured the third place.

P Vishwanath felicitated the winners of the quiz. P Vishwanath is the founder-director of T.I.M.E. The winning team members of the national finale were presented with Apple iPads while the first and second runner-ups were issued with Samsung tabs and Amazon Echo Dot devices respectively.

Drishya Sudeep and Navya Singh from Army Public School emerged winner beating up K.Dheeraj and Mohd. Sabeehuddin from Little Flower School, Abids in an audio-visual round. About 15,000 students from nearly 53 schools participated from the twin cities in the preliminary rounds.

The Executive Editor of the TIME Magazine division and Quiz Master, Bharat C. Jain stated that “The response to this year’s Aqua Regia exceeded our expectations. The mega quiz event was open to students of all streams from standard VIII, IX, and X, and was being conducted across the country in 19 cities including Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Cochin, and others. Around 1.5 lakhs students competed in the national circuit of Aqua Regia 2019. Started in 2006, this quiz has seen the participation of more than 23.5 lakh students from more than 30 cities over the years. It is the most awaited quizzing event at the inter-school level”.
