Police – The Women Security Wing (WSW) organized a corporate drive and announced the formation of ‘Women Safety Volunteer Board’ for corporate companies after meeting representatives from various firms in Telangana.
It was followed by an interactive session in which several software engineers suggested their best practices and expressed their willingness to partner with WSW in taking forward major issues like the functioning of Internal Complaint Committee in corporate companies and how their travel can be made safer by technology intervention.

Addressing the participants, she explained various initiatives taken up by the police with a special mention on steps taken for the safety and security of women and children. The drive concluded with the announcement of the formation of the Women Safety Volunteer Board for corporate by WSW.
It would serve as a redressed platform for the corporate on safety-related issues and an effective partnership in the future. Representatives from 40 companies from IT, Banking and Pharma among other sectors took part in the meeting.
WSW has been created to ensure the safety and security of women and children in the State. It is a monitoring body for improving the quality, timelines, technology utilization for crimes against women and children.
